PSD was selected by the new Jacksonville NASL professional soccer franchise ownership for the Conceptual Design of a soccer-specific stadium to be located in the Jacksonville, Florida area.
The proposed new expandable stadium would be the future home of the new NASL franchise team when built. The PSD design team has been tasked with not only the conceptual design of the facility and master site plan, but also assisting the new franchise in identifying the right site location for the proposed new venue while conducting master site planning feasibilty studies on various potential site locations throughout the Jacksonville area.
As with Toyota Field, an expandable soccer-specific stadium designed by PSD, Jacksonville's soccer-specific stadium will also be designed to expand up to 18,000 seats or more in 3-4 phases. The facility would be capable of hosting professional soccer at all levels, as well as other sports or events. With a unique design and atmosphere for Jacksonville, the stadium would incite energy into fans and be a dynamic icon for the Jacksonville area.
